Corey Norman lands deal with UK club as halfback continues career

Corey Norman is set for a return to the UK with Championship outfit London Broncos. Rugby League Live understands the former NRL halfback is set to join Dean Whare at the club for the remainder of the season.

Norman, 32, has fulfilled his obligations with Elite 1 outfit Lezignan and will now continue his campaign in England with Mike Eccles’ side. He follows former Catalans man Dean Whare to the club, who also played in Elite 1 this season with Pia.

Norman made 228 NRL appearances during his career, playing for Brisbane Broncos, Parramatta Eels and St George Illawarra Dragons. He then joined Toulouse Olympique, where he played last season during their one-year stint in Super League.

The Broncos are currently tenth in the Championship, four points off the play-offs and three points clear of relegation. However, they are in the 1895 Cup semi-final, leaving them just one win away from a trip to Wembley this year.
