UK Global Talent Visa

The Tier 1 – Exceptional Talent Visa has been replaced with the Global Talent Visa in 2020.

Global Talent Visa allows a limited number of exceptionally talented people in a small number of fields to enter the UK.

 

Those fields are: science, humanities, engineering, fashion, medicine, digital technology, and arts.

You are eligible to apply for a Global Talent Visa if:

​

• You have a Tier 1 (Exceptional Talent) endorsement

• You are a recognised leader (exceptional talent)

• You are an emerging leader (exceptional promise).

 

Current holders of Tier 1 – Exceptional Talent Visa can still apply for Indefinite Leave to Remain or for family members to join them in the United Kingdom under this old category.

However, you will still need to apply for a Global Talent Visa.

You can apply for settlement as soon as you have been in the UK for:

​

• 3 years with an exceptional talent endorsement in science

• 3 years with an exceptional talent visa

• 5 years with an exceptional promise endorsement in arts, culture or digital technology.
